Don’t expect 2 Grosvenor Cottages to look like a modern house.  This is a Victorian Cottage of great character with solid beams and an open log fireplace. Whilst the cottage has been modified in the past, it has been done with great sympathy for its origins as a farm cottage for the local estate. There is no garden to speak of at the front, just a narrow pathway, with a ‘wild garden’ with ferns, lilies and a hop bush. A small garden at the back currently has lavender, honeysuckle, passion fruit, a grape vine and a traditional feel to it. The dining/breakfast area faces east and gets glorious sunshine in the mornings whereas the living/lounge area faces west with lovely sunset skies in the evenings.   There is a large waterproofed cellar the same size as the lounge area. Currently used as a storeroom, but other cottages in the row have converted the cellar to an extra room The present owner is moving because of a progressing disability that has made the navigation of stairs and gardening difficult. Bungalow calls!
